Quingo Connect Electric Wheelchair Portable and Lightweight

You will be familiar with our renowned Quingo 5 wheeled mobility scooter range but we would like to introduce you to a new addition to our range the Connect powered wheelchair.

The Connect is a very flexible and agile wheelchair suitable for those who may find a mobility scooter does not meet their requirements or health condition’s needs.

One of the key features is the easy use controls. These can be moved to either arm of the chair to suit passenger preference. In addition the controls can be mounted to the rear of the chair in moments making it an attendant controlled electric power wheelchair. So if you find yourself unable to operate the chair for any reason this can be handled by a partner or carer with ease.

The Connect is lightweight and folds in under 5 seconds making it possibly the best electric folding wheelchair available.

Should I Go Out on My Mobility Scooter During the Coronavirus Lockdown?

With the need to observe social distancing you may ask

“Should I not be using my mobility scooter at this time?”

The answer is yes, as long as you observe sensible rules.

You scooter may be a vital lifeline and make going out for essential supplies such as food and medicines much safer than other ways you may have to use otherwise like getting a lift. The other way a scooter helps is all our models have baskets, which means you can avoid using a basket which may have been handled by an infected person.

Your scooter is easy to clean so get some disinfectant to wipe it down.

Always take a fully charged mobile phone with you just in case the unexpected happens.

Of course, a scooter that is poorly maintained can put you at risk in numerous ways like any vehicle they require servicing and care. We recommend an annual service by one of our highly trained specialist engineers you can arrange a service by calling our customer service department on 01582 430 900 and they will be delighted to help.

There are of course some day to day checks.

Firstly, take a look around your scooter for any obvious signs of damage. Check your lights & indicators (where fitted). Check to see  if your tyres may need some air.

Next as many of you take advantage of our mobility scooters ability to fold up you should check the steering is moving freely and smoothly and check to make nothing has fallen in to the tiller mechanism.

Check the throttle moves freely and with no obstruction. When driving the scooter if you notice any changes in throttle response please call us.

Our transportable models should have several extra checks.

The take apart portable Air2 should have the contacts between the components checked for excessive wear, while this is highly unlikely they should be checked, and you should make sure they are firmly engaged before use.

The self-loading Flyte requires all of these all of these but, in addition, when the mobility scooter is unloaded check the Docking Station is firmly installed.

Every time you use your mobility scooter leave it on charge overnight, a well-maintained battery will avoid you being left stranded. You can read more about looking after your batteries here.

We still recommend that you take no unnecessary trips but if you do make sure it is on a safe and reliable scooter!

Quingo wins Feefo Gold Trusted 2017 award

Quingo Scooters always puts you first. We strive to supply you with the best quality mobility scooters and excellent customer service, so you can travel the world at your leisure. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for helping us win the coveted Feefo Gold Trusted Service Award 2017. Seeing how happy our customers are with both their Quingo Scooters and the service that they have received from our dedicated team makes us incredibly proud!

Finding reviews

It’s always a good idea to see what other people are saying about a product, and the company behind it, before making a purchase, to ensure you get the best quality. You can use online review platforms such as Feefo to see what existing customers are saying. A report from Bright Local found that 88% of people trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations, showing they can be really handy!

Feefo is a fantastic resource for online reviews. The platform is designed to “help the world make better decisions,” by giving customers the tools they need to express their opinions about what they buy. It allows users to award products and services a star rating out of five, giving you a quick overview if you’re pressed for time, as well as write full reviews, so you can read more in-depth opinions.

Trusted Service Awards

Feefo are always going the extra mile, to make sure you can get more out of their reviews. The platform collects ratings and reviews from verified customers, so you know they’re always genuine, and uses them to pick winners for its Trusted Service Awards. These prizes are designed to let you know which businesses go above and beyond to help you, by supplying exemplary service.

We’re proud to announce that Quingo Scooters has been given the Feefo Official Gold Trusted Service Award 2017. This is the highest honour that Feefo can bestow on a business, and they’re very discerning about who they give these prizes to. We have won the Gold Trusted Service Award 2017 for delivering the highest standard of service and it is the third time in a row we have received it!

Fantastic feedback

We made the cut based on the fantastic reviews posted by our customers on Feefo. Quingo Scooters has an incredible 4.9 out of 5 customer service star rating, and a 4.8 out of 5 star product rating. If you look on the ‘Quingo Scooters reviews’ page on the platform, you’ll soon see why we were handed the Gold Trusted Service Award 2017.

These reviews were written by Quingo Scooter users across the UK. Mr Silcock, from Worthing, commended us on our “excellent service from start to finish,” while Mr Buckley in Cardiff has kindly said that we have a “first class product.” Mr Aston in Poole commented that we supply “a good all-round experience” and that he’s “enjoying the use” of his “plus model” as with it he can “get around more.” We would like to thank these customers and other users for taking the time to review us on Feefo, as they’ve provided the insight you need to learn why you get quality with Quingo Scooters.

No DLA? No Problem – Quingo Offers Flexible Scooter Hire Services

Quingo Scooters understands that some users depend on Disability Living Allowance (DLA), to finance their mobility scooters. But the government is moving from DLA to a new system and this could deprive up to 700 people per week of their Motability vehicles. If you’re one of these people, don’t worry, as Quingo Scooters provides a range of flexible scooter hire services for you to take advantage of.

Exploring options

DLA is being replaced with Personal Independence Payment (PIP). This comes with an allowance for enhanced mobility. Due to strict criteria, you may not qualify for this allowance under the new system, even if you depend on a mobility scooter to get around. However, we are pleased to offer alternative solutions if you are affected by this.

Quingo offer flexible finance options on all of our scooters, which will allow you to own your mobility scooter. However, we also understand that not everyone wishes to buy their scooter. This is why we offer our easy term contract hire on all models. This is a more flexible option than Motability, available on a 2 or 3 year term. Most importantly, our contract hire scheme does not require you to be receiving high level DLA or the PIP enhanced mobility payments.

Easy term contract hire

Coupled with a higher level of insurance, our easy term contract hire option is more flexible than Motability.

When you opt for contract hire, you can have your Quingo Scooter with just one simple monthly payment, allowing you to use your mobility vehicle without worrying about the cost. With contract hire, you’ll also receive the following benefits, ensuring you get real value for money with Quingo Scooters:

  • Fixed monthly cost: You will benefit from a fixed, low monthly rental fee that won’t rise in your hire period, making it easy for you to factor mobility into your budget long-term.
  • Demonstrations services: Before hiring a Quingo Scooter, you can ask one of our friendly and knowledgeable mobility advisors to give you a full demonstration and assessment, for free, in your home.
  • Training programme: During your demonstration, you’ll be offered the chance to take our Blue Diamond training programme, to learn how to use a mobility scooter safely. We would advise you to take advantage of this training programme, but you won’t be required to.
  • Full customisation: After you’ve selected your model, a completely qualified Quingo engineer will deliver it straight to your door. The engineer will customise the model according to your exact specifications, so you can be as comfortable a possible when using a Quingo Scooter.
  • Maintenance services: You can ask Quingo to conduct any necessary services, maintenance or repairs on your scooter. We will include call outs in your hire contract and we will even supply you with speedy roadside scooter recovery services, every day of the year.
  • Comprehensive insurance: If your Quingo Scooter gets damaged for any reason, you can benefit from a comprehensive insurance package, when you hire one of our models. This includes fire & flood damage cover, accidental damage cover and theft cover for loss or damage. We also include tyre and battery cover, for up to two Quingo Scooters with our easy term contract hire.

Quingo Scooters

Value for money

With so many benefits, you can get real value for money when renting a Quingo Scooter on an easy term contract hire basis. Our prices start from as little as £22 per week, allowing you to get around on a safe, stable, quality Scooter without stretching your budget too thin, even if you won’t receive the enhanced mobility component in the government’s new PIP programme.
