As the closing date approaches, the Quingo team want to remind you to vote for the “Best Limited Mobility/Accessible Travel Provider” award at the forthcoming Silver Travel awards, sponsored by Quingo.
Silver Travel Awards
The Silver Travel Awards, in conjunction with Silver Travel Advisor, celebrate businesses and attractions that go the extra mile to meet the needs of the mature travel market.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 4th June 2015 at the Natural History Museum in London and the awards will be announced and presented by former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond.
Improving accessibility
Quingo scooters are sponsoring the award for Best Limited Mobility/Accessible Travel Provider to help highlight and recognise the good work that companies and attractions do to make their facilities accessible for all and so that everybody can enjoy what they have to offer.
The more light we can shed on the need for accessible attractions, companies and destinations, the more there will be.
How to vote
Is there an attraction which has gone the extra mile to meet your needs, a hotel or B&B where you’ve had a very enjoyable or special experience, or an airline or rental car company which you would like to recommend to people? If so then now is the time to cast your vote for those who have made your experience special.
You can vote on the Silver Travel Advisor website. Just click on the ‘vote now’ button and fill in the online form. You can fill in as few or as many categories as you want, but the fields marked with a ‘*’ need to be filled in to vote.
Hurry the closing date is on the 31st March!
Quingo proud to sponsor award at the Silver Travel Awards
The Quingo team are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the Best Limited Mobility/Accessible Travel Provider category at the first annual Silver Travel Awards ceremony.
The Silver Travel Awards
The event will be launched by Silver Travel Advisor, a website run by travel industry professionals which targets the mature travel market.
The website is a free resource where members can contribute to impartial news, travel advice and tips, all written exclusively by and for mature travellers.
Jennie Bond, the BBC’s former Royal Correspondent will host the event which takes place on 4th June 2015 at London’s Natural History Museum.
A ‘best of the best’ award will be judged by a panel of mature celebrities and senior figures from the travel industry, who will consider the best entries in each of the categories before selecting an overall winner.
How do I vote?
Voting for the Awards opened in January and will close on 31st March. To place a vote you can visit the Silver Travel Advisor website and click ‘Vote Now’.
Voters will be asked to fill in an online form and can vote in one, several or all categories. Votes will be counted in April resulting in a shortlist for each category. The winner for each award will be chosen at the event on 4th June.
Some of the companies voted for so far in the Quingo-sponsored category include Wings on Wheels, Qantas Airlines, Gatwick Airport, Warners and CMV.
Quingo is proud to sponsor the award which helps to encourage those with limited mobility to travel more widely.
